MEMORIAL BOX OUTREACH PROJECT

The Memorial Box Project is a community outreach program designed to present local hospitals with "memorial boxes" to be given to newly bereaved families in their Labor and Delivery and/or Neonatal Intensive Care units. These boxes are designed for parents having experienced either a late-term pregnancy loss, or for babies lost to prematurity complications in the NICU. These boxes contain a receiving blanket, newborn sleeper, cap, washcloth and various bathing accessories, remembrance candle, memorial CD, journal, disposable camera and photo album for parents to record and preserve those few-too-precious memories of their child.

It is our hope that the Missing Alexis Foundation will continue to grow and we will be able to continue to provide these memorial boxes to local hospitals to offer comfort and support for grieving families. So far, we have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the recipients and we'd love nothing more than to keep Alexis's legacy alive and well through these memorial box donations.
